We were proud to be invited to take part in a special episode of ITV’s 60 Minute Makeover, filmed locally and featuring the renowned interior designer Linda Barker. This episode focused on the home of Debbie Holloway, a truly inspirational woman who dedicated her life to caring for her son with Down’s Syndrome and coaching a local disabled football club. Tragically, Debbie suffered a major stroke that left her paralysed on the left side of her body and fully dependent on her devoted husband, Larry. Due to her condition, Debbie could no longer access the upstairs of their home. As a result, the family had to convert their downstairs dining room into a makeshift bedroom—directly next to the kitchen and offering little privacy or comfort. With the local council unable to assist with stair lifts or ramps, the 60 Minute Makeover team stepped in—and so did we. We were honoured to donate our time, expertise, and products to help transform Debbie’s living space. One of our main contributions was the installation of remote-controlled motorised blinds, which acted as an innovative partition wall between her bedroom and the kitchen, offering much-needed privacy. This was a first for the show and a creative solution to a very personal challenge. Our team also assisted with:
